Shipping and Returns Policy
1. Shipping Policy
1.1 Order Processing
– All orders are processed within 1-2 business days.
– Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
– If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed. We will notify you via email or phone if there will be a significant delay in the shipment of your order.
1.2 Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
– Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout, depending on total cart weight.
– Delivery delays can occasionally occur and are beyond our control.
1.3 Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking
– You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email, containing your tracking number(s), directly from our courier partner, once your order has been shipped.
1.4 Damages
– We are not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.
– Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
2. Returns Policy
2.1 Conditions for Returns
– We only accept returns for unopened products in the following scenarios:
– The wrong product was sent to you.
– The product arrives severely damaged.
– To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
2.2 Return Process
– To initiate a return, please contact admin@booksandbooks.co.za within 7 days of receiving the product. Please include your order number, details of the issue, and photos of the product if it was damaged.
– Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how to return your product.
– The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g.wrong product sent).
2.3 Refunds
– Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the status of your refund.
– If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
2.4 Non-Returnable Items
– Certain items cannot be returned, including:
– Opened or used products.
– Products not in their original condition.
– Products returned more than 7 days after delivery.
